Within Asset Based Financing, Commodity Trade Finance ("CTF") acts as financing specialist providing finance as well as trade finance solutions for commodity clients. CTF is a business dealing with highly sophisticated globally active traders. Bilateral facilities as well as structured syndicated loans are parts of our product offer. For our hub in Munich we are looking for a professional team member who accompanies syndication processes and takes over credit responsibility for selected trader clients and their financing needs.

What you'll be doing

• Assume responsibility as KSB for an assigned client portfolio (including complex global trader files) and carry out all functions attached to this role – including but not limited to credit risk analysis for existing and new trader clients.
• Preparation of internal ratings and credit requests (and as required special purpose memos) meeting ABF/CTF standards in conjunction with Relationship Managers and Product Specialists
• Group-wide coordination and handling of credit requests and credit processes for multi-costumers of UniCredit Group
• Interact with Senior Risk Management, PPM, Relationship Managers, and Product Specialists to determine adequate client strategies and to obtain credit decisions. Organize credit processes, including cooperation with other UCG units, and represent the files in the respective committees in a leading role together with coverage
• Execution and implementation of credit decisions including system entries
• Accompany documentation process of bilateral CTF facilities in conjunction with Relationship Managers and manage for our part the documentation processes of syndicated facilities
• Act as participant but also as deal team member in syndicated transactions (RCF and Borrowing Base Facilities) and accompany all steps of such transaction from structuring via approval to documentation and execution.
• Participate in external meetings and negotiations with clients as well as in internal meetings (risk, legal, audit etc.)
• Carry out ongoing monitoring of limits and exposures in liaison with Relationship Managers – including permanent limit management
• Monitoring of conditions subsequent, covenants etc. and preparation of memorandums if needed for that purpose or for official waiver request
• Support Relationship Managers and Product Specialists for interim approvals / condition modification memos and the analyst part of client pitches and info memos
• Understand and apply the Special Credit Policy for CTF business – participate in its review and update as and when required
Produce watch list and risk reports as required; take responsibility for portfolio analysis/reporting matters/ audit matters

What you'll need to succeed

Qualification

• Degree in business administration, economics or accounting
• Profound professional experience in corporate credit analysis (minimum 3 years), ideally related to commodity trading companies
• Solid knowledge of UCB/UCG risk management systems, strategies, processes, competence rules
• Experience with financing requirements and documentation of corporates, ideally of commodity trading companies
• Experience with syndicated loans (RCFs and Borrowing Base Facilities)
• Good knowledge in relevant bank products (L/C, Guarantees, MM Loans, Syndicated Loans)

Skills

• Knowledge and experience in accompanying syndicated transactions
• Highly flexible and adaptable personality, especially in relation to workloads
• Profound qualitative and quantitative financial analytical skills including cash flow modelling
• Excellent English skills (both verbal and written), further language welcome
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Very good electronic data processing skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI)

• Strong team player
• Ability to manage own workload, also under pressure and to cover a variety of tasks at the same time and proven ability to work on tasks without supervision adhering to tight deadlines
